We all know what Japan is going through right now. It's Japanese tradition and belief that 1,000 paper cranes can be used to make a wish, such as healing from an illness. My school is folding 1,000 paper cranes then sending it to the Japanese Embassy. I've done this before in 5th grade, too. I know how to make a pretty paper crane by heart. ;) They are always fun!
